| GOGO Playday March 14, 2010 |
Posted March 16, 2010
After months of old man winter, we finally made it to our first GOGO play day for 2010. I think
it was Oct.09 of our last gathering at Whitts End Farm, but the hay ought to be good this spring!
Kim Leach, our
new Events Game Master, did a wonderful job at coordinating the arena games and events to get our GOOD BETTER, AND OUR BETTER
BEST.
Sunday was a perfect example of our GOGO mission.
Our Mission
To progress in our horsemanship
by supporting and motivating each other, as we build stronger relationships with horses and humans.
Although several
of our members weren't able to attend, we enjoyed some new faces in our group.
Linda Algire our new Parelli Professional
was busy in the Raleigh area teaching students about putting the relationship first. Congratulations Linda on all the hard
work that's finally paying off.
And one of our newest members who has patiently waited through this winter weather, Lisa
Weill, was finally able to attend a play day. I think her wait was well worth it! We also welcomed two visitors, Emily and
Jen, and hope they will join us again and become permanent members.
And then there was the fellowship part of our
day... AKA, GOGO's GONE WILD/ WILD BUNCH!!!
We recorded a birthday song for Pat Parelli, arranged by Janet Fisher, directed
by Doug Algire. with the Jeopardy Jingle hummed while waiting for Barb. This alone shows just how much talent is in our group!
We enjoyed sharing a surprise birthday potluck/cookout for Marie (Sheriff Ree and her one bullet from Lakeland), and I want
to personally thank everyone for all the fixings. And a special thank you to Steve Whitt for pitching in and taking over the
grill. He's a L4 grill master, no doubt.
If you would like to view our day, Sue Hanson and her faithful Flip Camera
caught some of the silly moments on video. Thanks Sue! Great job...
In closing, I'm looking forward to a continued
summer of fun with our group. With our hearts full of joy, we can pass this on to having a greater relationship with our horses.
They see our hearts too. This group of GOGO's simply rocks!
Until next time...
Keep it Natural
Margo

The
annual meeting was held in spite of the snow. Thank you Kim for being such a GREAT hostess. We will be using the GOGO FaceBook
Group as our communications media. Stephanie W. will post to the GOGO FaceBook Group on Saturday 02/13/2010 at 9AM if the
Playday for 2/13/2010 is cancelled due to snow.
All members are encouraged to post pictures, videos and messages to the
GOGO FB Group to share their journey. PLEASE DO NOT BE SHY!!! We will not have an official club photographer in 2010.
It will be up to all members to share their pictures and videos of meetings, playdays, trail rides, clinics and many other event
on FB. Random pictures will be selected and posted on this page of our website when the picture relates to GOGO
news. More information regarding our annual meeting to follow.

Wow...2009 was a great year for the GOGO's and we are ready to re-organize for 2010. Kim Leitch has
invited the GOGO's to her home for our annual meeting on Friday, January 29th at 6:30 PM. We will have a Mexican potluck
and Kim will have a sign up sheet for you to bring your "favorite" Mexican dish.
We will play
the next day at Whitt's End Farm on Saturday, January 30th from 2-6 PM. Pray for good weather! I think we are
all READY to play again.
Other business is the election of officers for 2010. If you are a current
officer and would like to serve again OR if you are new and would like to be an officer of our group, please contact Linda
Algire on FB or by email.
Officers are listed on our website.
We
will also have the 2010 schedule ready so everyone can plan ahead for the year.

Posted December 18, 2009: We had
a big turnout for the Christmas Dinner at The Garden Cafe in York. Everyone had a great time. Linda requested
those interested in the Beach Trip in January to let her know if you are planning to go. Also, we will be electing
new officers at our January meeting. Be thinking about who you would like to nominate or if you would like to serve.
Our most sincere condolences go out to Maddie who lost her equine partner CJ unexpectedly this week. CJ and Maddie shared
a unique bond. CJ will live forever in our hearts.
Posted 11/3/2009: The Halloween Dinner had a record turnout wiith more horse lovers and food that anyone could have ever
imagined. The PNH spotlights were fantastic. The Jesse Peters private lessons, level 2 and level 3 clinics were
all a great success and everyone learned so much from Jesse. He is certainly showing all of us he is a true teacher
at heart and is helping us all achieve our goals and make the horse world a better place.

October 13, 2009: Letter form Linda
Hello GoGo's, The Celebration is over and our spotlight group arrived home last night. Actually, we may have floated home
after our wonderful weekend. The Game On Gang was awarded a 4th Level Ribbon for their group Spotlight.
We brought down the house with our relationships, savvy and fun! Make sure to talk to Marie, Bobby, Sue, and Margo and
ask about the experience. If they can stop smiling long enough...they may be able to answer. Bobby and
his partner, Grace, also received a 4th Level Ribbon and a really neat lesson from Pat following his Finesse Spotlight. Pat
told the crowd that Grace was a perfect name because Bobby rode with "elegance and Grace". Thank you to our level 4 "grooms" Doug and Karen for their hard work. It wasn't an easy job
but they were awesome.
I finished my externship on Tuesday
and graduated as a One Star Instructor Trainee. I will become a One Star Parelli Professional after I teach 50 hours
of FREE online lessons to Savvy Club members. So...if you would like a free lesson, I'm available. Not a Savvy
Club member...let's talk!
Our 10 days of fun with Jesse Peters
begins on October 22nd. We have a few private lesson spots now available...reply to this email for day, time
and price information. I'll will send clinic logistics to those registered for lessons and clinics this week. Savvy On! Linda
